To start:

Chef’s fresh soup of the day with a selection of Artisan breads.

Goosnargh chicken liver pate with a hint of garlic, served with red onion marmalade and warm toast.

Fresh prawn cocktail on mixed salad leaves with a piquant Marie Rose sauce & soft granary bread.

Italian tomato and buffalo mozzarella bruschetta, drizzled with fresh basil pesto & served on dressed salad leaves (v).

Pan fried award winning Bury black pudding & dressed potato salad topped with a soft poached egg.
 

And then:

Fish & chips: Fresh haddock fillet in real ale beer batter, hand cut chips, home-made mushy peas and chef’s tartare sauce.

Sausage & mash: Trio of finest local butcher’s sausages on wholegrain mustard mash with a rich onion & sage gravy, served with seasonal vegetables.

Steak & Real Ale pie: Slow braised Bowland beef in shortcrust pastry, served with two choices from seasonal vegetables, hand cut chips, new potatoes or creamy mash all in a rich gravy.

Grilled chicken breast served on Caesar salad with baby lettuce, crispy pancetta strips, ciabatta croutons, Parmesan shavings & Caesar dressing.  Available with or without anchovies

Chef’s home-made three cheese & red onion pie: Served with hand cut chips, buttered mash or seasonal vegetables (v).

Fresh gnocchi tossed in garlic butter with mislovia olives, sweet peppers, basil & tomato concasse, served with warm garlic toast & shaved Parmesan. (v)

Finally:

Classic sticky toffee pudding, made to a moreish secret recipe in a butterscotch sauce.

Home-made soft, slow melting chocolate brownie.

Caramelised Dutch apple & sultana tart.

Served with your choice of either fresh home-made custard,  fresh cream or Mrs Dowson’s traditional vanilla ice cream.
